Our cousin Krister picked us up at 10:30 and drove us to the other side of the straight to Old Town in Stockholm. Once there we met his 2 brothers Thomas (pron. Toe Mahs) and Johan (pron. Yo Hahn). All three knew all there was to know about everything we saw – our own personal tour guides.
St. George and the DragoN
The St. George and the dragon statue is a repeating theme seen in many places.
Here is one in the largest ‘square’ in Old Town:
Here we are standing in front of George and the dragon. Johan the youngest of the brothers on the left. Thomas the middle child on the left.

Buildings surrounding the square:
This is the smallest street in Old Town – barely wide enough for 2 people to walk side by side.
There’s mom with her viking hat and blonde braids.

Next we went to see the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace.
Krister is talking to one of the soldiers. Krister himself was in the Swedish military and served as a Royal Palace Guard 3 times.

Storkyrkan
Here is another “George and the Dragon” located in Storkyrkan — the Church (now Cathedral) of Saint Nicholas in Stockholm (Sweden). I believe this is the oldest church in Stockholm.
George is on the left and an awesome alter on the right.
The oldest picture of Stockholm
A crypt for an entire family. Dad on the left Two young children on the right. The mom is in the middle but cannot be seen.
The crown on the left marked the seat of the kind and queen. The seat underneath the crown is on the right.
The largest candle stick holder I’ve ever seen (looked like a Minorah) on the left.
Everywhere you walked there were markers for important people whose final resting place is beneath the floor.
Long shot of the church on the left. Oldest painting of Stockholm on the right.

Here we are taking a snack break on the banks of the straight that leads to the Baltic Sea. Mom’s in the shadow – so here’s another photo in her viking cap.
